Recorded Substance Use Among Younger Cincinnati-Area Stroke Patients Rose to 40.2%

Documented substance use among adults aged 20 to 54 who suffered a stroke in the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky region climbed to 40.2% by 2020. This increase, largely attributed to marijuana use, was noted alongside nearly doubling stroke rates for that age group. Study authors caution that they cannot prove causation.
