Corrections & editorial standards
Updated 2026-06-24
Trust is everything for a community newsroom. Here's how we keep stories accurate and fix mistakes.
How stories are verified
Stories are built from one or more community reports, consolidated and fact-checked by AI against red-flag rules, with human review for sensitive topics. Each story lists its sources so you can judge for yourself.
Requesting a correction
Spotted an error? Contact us with the story link and what's wrong. We aim to review correction requests promptly.
Corrections, updates & retractions
- Corrections fix factual errors; significant ones are noted on the story.
- Updates add new, relevant information.
- Retractions remove stories that cannot be substantiated.
We value transparency over saving face — if we get something wrong, we fix it.
