Residents of Mont 44 Apartments in northeast Albuquerque are protesting sewage backups and bug infestations at the complex. The city found multiple health code violations and gave management ten days to fix them or face fines up to $17,500 per day. The outcome affects the health and daily living conditions of residents at the complex.

Albuquerque Fire Rescue has crews ready at several dangerous locations because of rainy weather and fast-moving flood channels. Flood channels there can move water at 35 mph, and crews are coordinating with Albuquerque police and Bernalillo County firefighters. Officials advise residents not to drive over flooded areas during the rain.

Bernalillo County Clerk Michelle Kavanaugh said mail-in voting is back on track after a U.S. Supreme Court ruling.
