A Kalamazoo man was convicted Wednesday of assault with intent to murder related to a shooting that occurred on October 30, 2025. KDPS officers responded to Summit Park Court where the victim was found with multiple gunshot wounds. The suspect, Trennier Shaw, was identified using surveillance footage and LPRs.

Kalamazoo police identified Amaure’ Dora-Lee Lynniah as the woman killed Monday, stating her death was retaliation for a shooting on Sunday. Investigators believe this followed the death of Latraysa Brown on Sept. 27. A suspect and another man are in custody.
