One person sustained life-threatening injuries following a shooting late Friday night, October 2, on C.E. Galloway Street in Shreveport. Police reported that occupants of two cars were involved in the shootout. Both vehicles were impounded and guns were seized at the scene as the investigation continues.
A second person, Alonzo Abbott, 19, has been arrested regarding the shooting that killed Sha’Micheal Russell and injured others. He was charged with principal to second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder. The investigation remains ongoing as police continue their work.
Rain chances are expected to taper off by the end of the weekend. Residents can anticipate very pleasant weather conditions starting early next week, with cooler temperatures and lower humidity arriving in the ArkLaTex area.
