The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is seeking public assistance to identify a man accused of stealing merchandise from a concession stand at North Macon Park. The theft occurred around 10:24 p.m. on September 25th when the park was closed. Anyone with information should contact the Sheriff's Office or Crime Stoppers.

A 50-year-old woman died after her pickup truck struck the back of a tractor-trailer on I-75 South near Hartley Bridge Road. The crash occurred Thursday afternoon, causing all southbound lanes to close before reopening. Macon-Bibb firefighters freed the woman from the vehicle.
