Long Beach is considering a $3 million plan to stabilize the Peninsula after waves fueled by Hurricane Marie caused damage. Long Beach police are asking for help identifying a driver who fled after a fatal collision on September 13. A black sedan struck a pedestrian around 7:23 p.m. and the driver left the scene. Residents with information about the sedan or driver can help police in the investigation.
