U.S. Rep. Juan Ciscomani met Marana Mayor Jon Post and other town leaders on August 13, 2026, about federal funding. The $3 million, preliminarily secured, would improve Interstate 10 exit 236, add lanes beneath the highway, and extend Tangerine Farms Road. Marana police responded to an assault at the Walmart on Cortaro Road on August 9. Police said two people assaulted another person and fled in a vehicle, and the victim went to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police released suspect images and the investigation was still active at last report, so the case remains open.
