Luleå stift backs plan to merge parishes in Southern Lappland
Luleå stift has withdrawn its proposal to combine several parishes into one large pastorate in Southern Lappland. Instead of merging, the focus will be on increasing cooperation among the existing parishes. This change was announced after previous concerns about losing local autonomy.
