Sources for Beeton

A source joins a place after automatic checks and a decision by our team. Readers can suggest sources, but a suggestion never joins on its own.

Sources are grouped by how close they are to the place: Local sources are based in it and report mostly on it, Area sources cover the wider area, Regional sources cover the state or province, National sources cover the country. The same outlet can be Local for one place and Area for another.

Inside a group, sources that report on the place more often and more originally come first. The same rules apply to every outlet, in every language and community. Readers can follow, show less of or mute a source for their own feed; that never changes what anyone else sees.
