Dozens gathered in Burlington to mark White Cane Awareness Day by walking a route reminiscent of Anne Connelly's 1930 journey. The event, hosted by the Department of Visually Impaired and VABVI, honored Connelly for introducing white canes and guide dogs. Mayor Emma Mulvaney-Stanak also issued a proclamation recognizing the day.
